From the very beginning @Kern Communication Systems, we have been working in the field of information technology and telecommunications.
Since the late 90s, we have been dealing with mobile technologies, initially with voice-based applications, and since year 2000, mainly with data transmission solutions.

Firstly, as a value-added distributor of Robustel, Graphical Networks, Sierra Wireless, Pikkerton and Monnit, we engage in commercial activities, providing technical support and services to our clients.
We offer assistance in optimizing the usage and application of our products.
Secondly, we offer personalized solutions to our clients through custom hardware and software development and configuration services.
Our Values
From year 2000 we actively participated forming and developing the Hungarian and regional IoT and M2M (although at that time this industry was called differently) markets. Our data communication products are working in multiple areas, like transportation, security services, heathcare, industry automation, energy distribution systems, network solutions.
Over the past 20 years, we have developed together with mobile technologies. In the beginning, we learned CSD and SMS, then GPRS/EDGE, 3G, 4G, 5G technologies. In addition to the development of technology, the design of the devices has also become diverse, from modules that can be integrated into the printed circuit boards, through programmable external modems, to industrial routers and gateways, which can be found in our product range!
Our Beliefs
We believe in the wireless data communication and transfer, beside the mobile communication, also the small and local area coverage technlogies are also part of our scope and acitivites, like Wifi, Blootooth and LoRa.
We deliver wide range of sensor solutions and networks for IoT purposes. It is easy to choose from 40 different kind of sensors available to measure external environment parameter, quality, status for data processing.

We are highly professionals in IT network documentation and visualisation as well since 1994. Back in time we used and promoted netViz, then the successor of it, we engaged ourselves to Graphical Networks solutions which is excellent for not only documentation purposes, but also for data center management and optical networs' documentation as well. Our profession is to help to find the best solution, implementation, training, documentation, 3rd party integration as well.

Milestones
- 1990: Our company started as part of the German-Hungarian Econocom Group under the name of IC Nagyalföld Ltd.
- 1991: As a co-owner partner of Inter Computer Ltd., we sold IBM mainframes to large corporations.
- 1992: Distributor contract was signed with the Italian Digicom modem manufacturer.
- 1993: The company became fully independent under the name Kern Communication Systems Ltd., which indicates the main profile the data communication equipments distribution.
- 1994: We became distributor for Frederick Engineering which was an American protocol analyzer. We built the Modem Center for MTA SZTAKI (Hungarian university mail system - predecessor of Internet). We started also as the distributor of the American netViz the network documentation software.
- 1995: We accredited the Taiwanese VSTAR Quisar EFTPOS terminals in Hungary at GIRO bankcard center and at the Duna Bank/K&H Bank
- 1996: Development of the customer loyalty card system for ÁFÉSZ Coop (big Hungarian retail chain) and it's integration to Samsung cash registers.
- 1997: Development of customer loyalty card system with chips for Fotex Ofotért and Vision Express (Hungarian retail chains) based on Basic-card system. A total around 150000 cards have been sold.
- 1998: Accrediation of Audiotel and Quasar gateways.
- 1999: Fingerprint based security system development with Dactylos.
- 2001: Organizing the first Mobile Industry Conference with the support of Pannon GSM. Aquiring ISO9001 certification via MOODY.
- 2002: We received the innovation top award on the Hungelektro exhibition for a GSM Gate Opener.
- 2003: We introduced CyberECG on MEDICA Düsseldorg exhibition
- 2004: We particiapted and presented on the MEDIPHAR conference in Taiwan.
- 2005: The first big (4000 heat meter/calorimeter) GPRS based communication system development in Budapest.
- We founded our first subsidary in Romania, KERN Romania srl. which was the system integrator for the biggest fleet management system SAS Group.
- We participated in Worldcongress Cannes as exhibitor.
- 2006: We participated and presented the mobile ECG product at China HighTech summit.
- 2007: We founded KERN sro. in Slovakia. Cooperation started with InHand Networks.
- 2008: We integrated GSM/GPS OBU (on board unit for veichle tracking) to T-Mobile fleet solution.
- We exhibited our GSM/GPRS solutions on the GSM World Congress in Barcelona
- 2009: We became Sierra Wireless distributor and importer of Rhode-Schwarz Topex products.
- 2010: We signed distributor contracts with Robustel and Digi international.
- 2011: Our distributor portfolio has been extended with GraphTerrain and NetTerrain products.
- 2014: Distributor portfolio has been extended with Monnit Inc.
- 2016: We started out cooperation with GlobalSat regarding their LoRa solutions distribution.
- 2017: Cooperation started with ATEL Chinese manufacturer of LTE 450 module
- 2021: Agreement with manufacturer of FIBOCOM MODULE Cat 1 ,NBIOT.
- 2023: Agreement with manufacturer of Cavli module.
